For most churches ushers and greeters typically perform duties such as opening doors, smiling, shaking hands, directing guests, passing the offering plate and helping during services. Very few know anything about safety and security, and they have little or no background in emergency planning, protection or security activities.

But what if we changed that? What if we thought of them as the auxiliary component of our church safety and security ministry? How much more safe and secure would your worship environment be if you spent a little time teaching them what to look for and what to communicate?

This course helps ushers and greeters as well as church safety and security team leaders develop the usher and greeter corps to be an added value to the safety and security ministry. It helps develop the skill sets needed to be a bonus component of your church safety and security team, to become a safer church. A safer church is a more welcoming church and a more welcoming church is a growing church.

If you are an usher/ greeter or a member of a safety and security ministry – this course is for you!
