Munich, Germany, 1943. Two siblings who came of age in the Third Reich walk a well-known path toward an uncertain future, carrying hidden words of resistance and hope. Buoyed by faith, stories, and songs, they are confident that, in the midst of the darkest of times, their thoughts can still be free.
Join Sarah Brady, international storyteller and storytelling consultant for researchers, on the premiere of her Hans and Sophie Scholl story journey. Portions of this program were previously shared with the White Rose Project at the University of Oxford (UK) as part of their Digital Symposium 2020 and can be heard at https://whiteroseproject.org/storytelling/. The debut of the full program will finish with a presenter interview conducted by master storyteller Elizabeth Ellis, and attendees will have the opportunity to hear more of Sarah's historical research and today's cultural relevance.
This is a live event that will take place via Zoom.
