In pre-COVID times, the bars, theaters, and bookstores of Chicago were bursting with personal storytelling events almost every night of the week, where friends and neighbors could come together and connect with one other via humor, vulnerability. and sometimes a few tears.
While Zoom has been useful in keeping that connection alive for the last few months, nothing compares to us all being in the same space for a live performance.
In September, we're presenting the rare opportunity to come together once again, in the super safe and controlled outdoor environment of North Center's spacious new square, to celebrate our shared humanity with four unique evenings of personal stories from some of Chicago's finest storytellers. We'd love for you to join us.
Within 24 hours of ticket purchase, you will receive an email with full details. We'll also ask if you have additional party members who bought tickets separately, so that we can seat you with them. We'll also ask if you plan to stand, bring chairs, or sit on a blanket (grassy space is limited), so that we can reserve the right kind of spot for you.
SAFETY FIRST
1) Limited tickets will be sold to ensure that there will be more than the recommended distancing between individuals or parties. Clearly marked zones will be provided to maintain the distance. You will be required to bring your own chair, blanket, or legs from which to view the performance.
2) Masks will be required for all audience members for the duration of the event. No exceptions. Disposable masks will be provided to anyone who shows up without one.
3) Traffic flow in and out will be facilitated to prevent congregation or congestion.
4) The performers will be at least 10-15 feet away from the front row, up on a stage at all times. The microphone and stand will be thoroughly sanitized between performers and disposable mic covers will be employed for their safety.
5) All safety precautions will be strictly monitored and enforced. Violators will be asked to remedy the situation or leave the premises immediately. Staff will be on hand to keep passers-by not following the protocol away from the space.

MORE INFO
* Stories will be somewhat family friendly due to the space (no profanity or gratuitous material) but adult-themed content may not be as engaging for those twelve and under.
* Free and metered parking is available in the surrounding area. (Please do not park in the CVS lot.)
* There are no public restrooms, except those inside local businesses that may or may not grant access to you.
* If weather is inhospitable, you will receive notice the morning of the show, and will be offered a rain date ticket or a refund.
* We will do everything we can to provide an ultra safe environment. However, as we all know, walking out the front door in the era of corona is never 100% devoid of risk. Taking a jog is a risk. Touching a door handle is a risk. We assume you have carefully thought through your ticket purchase and are willing to take full responsibility for the choice to join us.Â
IF YOU ARE EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS OR HAVE RECENTLY BEEN EXPOSED TO A KNOWN CARRIER, WE TRUST AND EXPECT YOU TO STAY HOME!
