About Sree Sreenivasan

Sree Sreenivasan is the inaugural Marshall Loeb Visiting Professor of Digital Innovation at Stony Brook University's School of Journalism. Sree is a leading social and digital media consultant and trainer, working with nonprofits, startups, companies and executives around the world. He has served as Chief Digital Officer of New York City, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Columbia University (where he was a full-time professor of journalism for 20+ years). He has also been a paid on-air tech expert for the three largest news stations in NYC. He taught a course on entrepreneurship at Columbia for four years with Ken Lerer, the co-founder of Huffington Post, chairman of BuzzFeed and co-founder of venture firm Lerer Hippeau.



About Marc E. Oppenheim

Marc E. Oppenheim is the founder and editor of the job-search resource MEOjobs, an independent website that aggregates career opportunities in media and communications. During the day, he is Dean of Hofstra University's Center for University Advising, which provides strategic leadership, program development, and administration of a comprehensive general advising center serving undergraduate and pre-professional students. Dean Oppenheim is also an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Writing Studies and Rhetoric at Hofstra University.

Brittany Forgione is Director of Global Communications at Verizon Media, where she's responsible for the development and execution of public relations and strategic communications plans for innovative product launches, platforms and live events across entertainment, sports and tech properties within the company's portfolio, which include: Yahoo, HuffPost, RYOT, MAKERS, TechCrunch and Engadget,among others. Most recently, she led PR and marketing efforts at The Paley Center for Media, after holding communications roles at Conde Nast's woman's active lifestyle brand SELF, PR agency Nicholas & Lence Communications, Emmy-winning morning television show "LIVE! with Regis and Kelly" and Sony Music Entertainment. She graduated in 2008 with a B.A. in Audio/Radio Broadcasting from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.


About Shasta Gomez

Shasta Gomez is the Director of Talent Strategy & Recruitment for Spectrum Networks. As a Senior Recruiter and Talent Program Manager, she built both her expertise and the company’s cachet by identifying opportunities to implement creative sourcing strategy, invigorating the pipeline and revamping recruiting plans. She now leads a nationwide effort to identify and acquire world-class talent, providing guidance and support to a team of talented recruitment specialists who support over 30 local news and regional sports networks in 12 states around the country. Shasta attended Angelo State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and has received a Professional Certification in Human Resources.
