ABOUT @ZACHPRAGUE: Zach Peterson is an American freelancer based in Prague, and a key part of the Digimentors & Center10 Consulting teams. His specialty is helping causes, companies and people shine in the digital world.
Over the last 15 years, he's held senior positions in the lobbying, publishing, and marketing industries in the US, Europe, and Asia. Zach specializes in content strategy, writing and editing, email marketing, communications strategy, web design/usability, analytics and data interpretation, and social media. He has a range of experiences and interests and loves a good advocacy project.
Currently, Zach consults several nonprofits, media companies, and startups on a range of topics including marketing and comms, digital strategy, content, and more. For more on his professional life, and an idea of the organizations he works for, check out Zach’s LinkedIn profile.
Outside of work, Zach is a husband and father of two small children who all like to get outside with their dog and hunt for mushrooms, galavant about some castle ruins, and hit the slopes. He follows US and global politics closely, is a big baseball fan, and loves good stand-up comedy.

In addition, he is a leading consultant, speaker and trainer for nonprofits, corporations, startups and executives via Digimentors, a consultancy he and his best friend Andrew Lih established in 2018. In just the past year, the team has worked with nonprofit and for-profit clients in the US, UK, UAE, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, India and Canada.
He has been Chief Digital Officer of major institutions in multiple industries: City of New York (working at City Hall); Columbia University (working on the future of education); and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (leading a 70-person team that helped keep the 150-year-old institution relevant in the smartphone age). Before joining the Met, he spent 20 years as a full-time professor at Columbia Journalism School.
He was named one of Fast Company's 100 Most Creative People in Business in 2015; the world's most influential Chief Digital Officer by CDO Club in 2016; and one of Poynter’s 35 most influential people in social media in 2010. He is a contributor to CNBC's "Squawk Alley," appearing monthly to talk tech.
