AFNA and AID in association with AAA entertainments is proud to host Papon (Angaraag Mahanta) and his band The East India Company @ SFO bay area this July. Papon is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and one of the most powerful and sought after voices in India. While rooted in folk, Papon has a wide variety of influences and is an extremely versatile artist and a composer. His famous Bollywood playback songs include Jiyein Kyun (Film: Dum Maaro Dum), Kyun (Film: Barfi), Zindagi Aisi Waisi (Film: I Am Kalam), Theme song (Film: Inkaar), Kaun Mera (Film: Special Chabbis), Maula Sun Le Re and Khud Se (Film: Madras Cafe). He also sang for films Chor Chor Super Chor, Satyagrah and upcoming Bollywood films like "Kya Dilli Kya Lahore" where lyrics were penned by Gulzar.
