Dr. King’s Holiday – Monday, January 21, 2019 – is a chance to bring attention to his vision of building the Beloved Community. There is a National Day of Service that encourages individual and collective acts of volunteering. In the spirit of this national effort, The Unitarian Society is hosting this event which will honor Dr. King’s legacy by providing the community a daylong event, “How to be an Upstander,” a chance for participants to learn how to interrupt hate and to practice it.

10am Welcome and Introduction to the Day
10:15 Meta Theatre Company - dramatic, interactive
12:15 Community Lunch (chili & cornbread provided -- vegetarian/vegan options available)
1:00 Exploring & Practicing Interrupting – Sempai Elena Waldman
2:45 Coming Together & Closing
