Manuel In the Bay

DNA Dance is finally bringing AfroHouse and Kuduro to the Bay Area. Manuel is visiting from Angola and we're so excited to host a series of classes with him this July!

Manuel hails from Angola, the birth place of AfroHouse and Kuduro, and choreographs, directs, and teaches throughout Europe and South America. He choreographed the Guinness Africa special commercial alongside Kibwe Tavares, Diesel Jeans commercial for the European market, South America's largest dance event RIOH2K, and the movie "I Love Kuduro". Last year he was nominated as one of Africa's best dancers by AFRIMMA. In which yours truly was apart of.

AfroHouse, created after Kuduro, is about 60% Traditional Angolan dance and 40% Kuduro dance. It now has over 43 different moves and you can even catch NeYo dancing one move, called Sangra, in his music video from "Another Love Song"!
