Jake’s Women presented at Studio Playhouse in Upper Montclair Jake’s Women by Neil Simon comes to Studio Playhouse in Upper Montclair. Performances are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm from March 24 through April 8. Jake, a novelist who is more successful with fiction than with life, faces a marital crisis by daydreaming about the women in his life. The wildly comic and sometimes moving flashbacks played in his mind are interrupted by visitations from the many women in his life: his revered first wife, his daughter, his sister, his analyst, his current wife (who is leaving Jake for another man), and a prospective third wife. Jake’s Women is directed by E. Dale Smith-Gallo and Claudia Budris, and stage managed by Samantha Silver. Tickets are $20 for adults and $17 for students and seniors; discounts available for groups of 20 or more that prepay. Opening night tickets are buy 1, get one 1 free.
