Almost every Sunday, Harold and Carol Harless and a band of Old Fort pickers hold an all-skill level music session on the porch of the Mountain Gateway Museum. Bring an instrument or just your ears for this foot-tapping Sunday tradition!
OUR MISSION
The Mountain Gateway Museum and Heritage Center collects and preserves artifacts and other historical materials relating to the history and heritage of North Carolina in a local, regional, national, and international context to assist people in understanding how the past influences the present.
WE'RE PART OF A LARGER FAMILY
The Mountain Gateway Museum is part of the Division of State History Museums in the Office of Archives and History of the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. NCDNCR is led by Sec. Susan Kluttz.
