East Durham Irish Festival returns for its 40th year with the announcement of the exciting 2016 artist line up included over 22 of the very best in Irish Rock and Traditional bands. Headlining the popular Irish festival are The Whistlin' Donkeys - *DIRECT from Ireland, Derek Warfield and The Young Wolfetones and Seven Nations. As well as the very best in Irish Music, there will be all-ages activities and programming including Céilí Dancing workshops, Singing classes by Catskills Irish Arts Week Artistic Director, Réidín O'Flynn, and Old Stlyle Séan Nós Dance classes hosted by Siobhán Butler. Exciting childrens Irish plays will be held throughout the weekend. Guided tours of the Authentic Donegal Irish Cottage and World's Largest Map of Ireland - buy a brick and have it placed in the County of your choice. Enjoy our Irish hospitality at the Cottage with a cup of tea and homemade Soda Bread. Bring your instruments and singing voices and join in on our open music sessions.
