In this therapeutic yoga workshop, international yoga therapy teacher and experienced meditator Alexa Owen integrates the eastern and western knowledge of compassion to educate students on self-care, healing, and personal transformation. Take 2 hours out of your holiday season to learn an ancient and powerful practice that addresses issues like chronic pain, stress, anxiety, depression, inflammation, self-criticism, and more.
This is a chance to jump-start your healing path for 2018, and experience this holiday season with a deeper sense of joy and peace.
The 2-hour workshop includes:
- presentation on East/West understanding of compassion
- education on how compassion changes the brain and promotes health and wellbeing
- esoteric teachings on mind-heart connection
- gentle yoga-asanas that facilitate ccompassion
- initiation into 2 powerful meditation techniques that jump-start healing through the physical, energetic, and spiritual heart
- take-home tips and practice guidelines to close out 2017 with love, peace, and joy

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This workshop is appropriate for ages 13 and up.

What should I bring into the event?
Wear comfortable clothes, and bring a journal and pen if you wish to take notes. Mats and props for the asana portion of the workshop are provided.
