August Local Author Showcase

Join Anderson’s Bookshop for our August Local Author Showcase on Tuesday, August 26th at 6:00 pm at our Downers Grove store. Authors will include Hafsa Naz Mahmood, Ayaan Sheikh, Azeem Sheikh, Marc Rogala, and Kelsey Dunbar.

Event Format

We will begin checking you in approximately 30 minutes before the start time. After a presentation and Q&A with the author, the line will form in numbered order with the following guidelines:

• Posed photo with your camera taken by our staff

• There is a limit of 2 books from home to be signed (unless otherwise stated)
  

• There is a limit of 1 personalization of the new book only (unless otherwise stated)

Pre-registration is required for this event because space is limited.

Little Birdies Lose their Colors by Hafsa Naz Mahmood and Ayaan Sheikh:

Little Birdies Lose their Colors is a story that encourages self identity, diversity, individuality, and eating healthy. These topics can be difficult to approach and discuss. By joining the little birdies on their journey, everyone can talk about important issues openly and honestly.

This children’s book simplifies complicated topics and brings everyone back to the basics of peacefully embracing and appreciating each other.

Suffer to Tougher by Marc Rogala and Kelsey Dunbar:
“Suffer to Tougher” is a raw and inspiring journey through pain, resilience, and transformation.
