The Muslim Community Association (MCA) is honored to facilitate the sacred tradition of i’tikaf.
“Abdullah bin Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to practice i’tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan” - Sahih Muslim 1171B
I‘tikāf is to remain in the masjid with the sincere niyyah (intention) of dedicating oneself to worship for the sake of Allah ﷻ. The purpose of this blessed stay is to draw closer to Allah ﷻ through focused ‘ibādah. During i‘tikāf, the believer steps away from worldly routines and distractions to strengthen their relationship with Allah ﷻ.This sacred time is spent in prayer, recitation and reflection of the Holy Qur’an, remembrance of Allah ﷻ, and heartfelt du‘ā’.
We deeply understand and honor the strong desire of our community members to come to the masjid for this important act of worship, and we recognize that participating in i‘tikāf holds great spiritual significance. In order to serve the community responsibly, MCA must maintain organization and comply with all state and local safety regulations, capacity limits, and operational requirements. These policies are in place to ensure a safe, respectful, and spiritually focused environment for everyone. Please help us ensure a smooth experience for everyone, especially given the high demand for the space.

- At discretion of management - some applications may not be approved.
- I’tikaf will be observed during the last ten days of Ramadan starting at Maghrib on March 9th and ending at Maghrib on March 19th.
- Pick up your i’tikaf badges, which will have your reserved spot number, by FRIDAY, March 6th After Isha. Failure to pick up badges will result in automatic forfeiture of your spot.
- You must have your badge available and present to MCA Safety Team or Masjid Administration at any time requested.
- You must be over the age of 18 to apply. No exceptions.
- Children under the age of 10 are not allowed in i’tikaf. Children 10-18 are minors and must have parental supervision at all times. Unattended minors under the age of 18 or participants that are found to be disruptive will be sent home. If administration is unable to reach parent/guardian, administration may involve law enforcement to ensure the safety and well-being of the minor.
- MCA has limited spots available in the prayer areas and must follow city and county safety laws. To make sure your i’tikaf is as comfortable and safe as possible, the cap on the number of men and women will be enforced.
- Arrange transport for drop off and pick up. Carpool if you can. Overnight parking is not allowed.
