Introductory Qur’an Reading Class (For Sisters Only)

This beginner-friendly class is open to sisters who can recognize the Arabic alphabet. It aims to help you learn to read the Qur’an correctly in Arabic through step-by-step instruction and guided practice.

📅 Dates: Sundays, Jan 11,2026 – May 31, 2026
🕛 Time: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
👩‍🏫 Instructor: Sr. Lamia Ammar
📍 Location: Youth Lounge, MCA, Scott Boulevard, Santa Clara, CA

Tentative Lessons Include:

  • Learning how to read words with short vowels (ḥarakāt) and sukūn

  • Combining letters with sukūn into basic syllables

  • Introducing tanwīn

  • Learn the tafseer of short Surahs

  • Learn the meaning of the most commonly used words in the Quran
