The Great Philadelphia Expo Center will welcome Atil Purohit & Rutumbhara Group on October 15th 2016. Presented by Dream Merchantz, an entertainment organization specializing in providing live concerts to South Asian families, Atul will take the stage in Oaks, PA. Tickets start at $25 for general admission and $35 for VIP. For groups of 10 or more, general admission is $20 per ticket while VIP is $30 per ticket.
When it comes to gujarati folk music and garba, Atul Purohit is a living legend. He was born in a small village near Dabhoi on February 27th, 1957. He loved music and singing from his childhood and began learning on his own at the age of 10. Later on, to expand his talent, he joined the music college for dramatics and performed with local artists for free to get his start.
In 1983 he established the group, Rishabh, with five friends. The album “Tara Vina Shyam” made Atul a world famous garba singer. In 1992, he established The Rutambara Group which has become one of the major attractions at United Way of Vadodara, singing for United Way for the last 18 years.
In October of 2016, Atul will pack the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center to delight audiences with his unique talents!
