Fight For the Queer & Geek Community With Geeks Out!

Fight For the Queer & Geek Community With Geeks Out!

May 23, 2017 Dr. Kristina Nelson

Event promoters Geeks Out values a wonderful mission—to hold events that both empower and promote both the queer and geek communities. Their events focus on bringing together a culture made up of all cultures, genders, and ages that work together to help bring out the voice of the LGBT in local communities. Geeks Out believes that the LGBT voice adds a bold outsider focus to geek culture, and holds events that help bring the concept of both the LGBT and geek culture together. The events held by Geeks Out generally promote geek culture, queer culture, or a combination of both. Below are some of the exciting events they are putting on soon.

OutWrite Book Fair in Washington DC

The 7th Annual OutWrite LGBT Book Fair runs from Friday August 4th to Saturday August 5th at the Reeves  Center in Washington DC. At OutWrite, many LGBT book publishers are on hand, and books are sold alongside many book readings throughout the day on Saturday August 5th.
