Intimate, Good Vibes Felt at Trans-Pecos in Ridgewood, Queens

Intimate, Good Vibes Felt at Trans-Pecos in Ridgewood, Queens

Apr 24, 2017 Tara Geigel

I’ve recently checked out a new music venue over in Queens, New York by the name of Trans-Pecos. I usually go to my local haunts such as Mercury Lounge or Output so I was pretty excited to check out a new place. Tommpabeats, a Finnish musician known for looping music, was doing his first US tour in a few cities including New York City. The venue opened around 11:30 with a decent sized crowd that made the space cozy and intimate. The location is perfect if you want to chill out, kick back, have a beer, and listen to some good music. There is also a patio in the back that will be perfect in the upcoming weeks with the warm weather setting in.

The acoustics of the room were surprisingly great for a smaller sized venue. The best part of the venue was the fact that you could stand anywhere and get an amazing view of the artist you’re there to see. If you check out their website, you’ll see the diversity in genres amongst the lineup. Their cover charge is only $12, which is standard for certain venues in NYC. I would highly recommend checking out Trans-Pecos if you’re looking for a small, intimate venue! Make sure to check them out here
