DC Fashion Week is a not-for-profit corporation. The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, as defined by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the "Code"), including (without limitation): providing free consulting services and business development assistance in the areas of fashion design, clothing merchandising and modeling to new or underprivileged fashion designers in the District of Columbia who wish to enter the fashion apparel industry; providing scholarships and tuition assistance to underprivileged students wishing to attend accredited fashion programs; and providing education regarding fashion show production.
