Breastfeeding In-Person Support Groups

Sharp HealthCare is committed to helping you give your baby the best possible start in life. This free support group is devised to help new parents and their babies learn from others about their successes and challenges with breastfeeding. Attendees will walk away with new ideas and techniques to try and improve their own breastfeeding success at home.

Registration is not required. Please refrain from attending if you are sick or think you might be contagious.

Hosted by Sharp Chula Vista Center for Women & Newborns

Date and time: Fridays, 1 to 2:30 pm (excluding major holidays)
Location: Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, 751 Medical Center Court, New Tower - Lobby, Chula Vista, CA 91911
Parking information: Free visitor parking is available in the parking structures and lots located in front of and behind the main hospital.
Presenter: This group is led by a certified perinatal educator.
What to Bring: Please bring your baby. You are also welcome to have an adult support person (women only) attend with you.
This support group is conducted in English and Spanish (este grupo se lleva a cabo en inglés y español).

Dates and times: Mondays, 1 to 3 pm; Thursdays, 9 am to 11:30 pm (excluding major holidays)
Location: Sharp Grossmont Hospital for Women & Newborns, 5555 Grossmont Center Drive, Conference Rooms 1-2, La Mesa, CA 91942
Parking information: Free parking is available in structure No. 2, which is located closest to the main hospital entrance. Please bring your parking ticket with you to the group meeting to receive validation and to ensure your parking is free. Parking in other structures or lots may result in a small fee.
Presenter: This group is led by lactation educators and IBCLC certified nurses.
What to bring: Please bring your baby. You are also welcome to have an adult support person attend with you. Fathers/partners are welcome.
All visitors to the Sharp Grossmont Hospital for Women & Newborns age 18 and older are required to present a government-issued photo ID upon arrival.

Parking information: Free parking is available in the lot surrounding the building. You will receive a voucher for free parking at the meeting.
Presenter: This group is led by an international board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) and lactation educator.
What to bring: Please bring your baby. You are also welcome to have an adult support person attend with you. Fathers/partners are welcome.
