The next concert for St Tim's Coffeehouse is April 10, Saturday. Virtual doors open at 6:30 PM to allow time for socializing
with music starting at 7:00 PM. Joining us will be DONNA HERULA, a Chicago-born singer songwriter and acoustic
slide guitarist with a passion for playing traditional country blues, Delta Blues, early Chicago Blues, folk, roots,
and Americana in addition to contemporary and original songs. Her sound combines her love of music of the
deep South and Chicago with her love of blues improvisation.Â
Acoustic Guitar Magazine named Donna to one of the "top 10 up and coming resonator guitar players" and featured her
in an article, "Down and Dirty: 10 contemporary resonator players talk about their love for that nasty sound." Â
In October 2016, she was inducted into the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame.
In pre-pandemic days, Donna was a regular performer at Buddy Guy's club, Legends, in Chicago. Currently at the Old Town
School of Folk Music in Chicago, she teaches Acoustic Slide Guitar, Blues and Americana Fingerstyle, and Electric Slide Guitar.
Her musical inspirations are blues singers, guitarists, and songwriters like Son House, Rory Block, Lucinda Williams, Johnny
Winter, and Lyle Lovett. She will be joined by her husband, Tony Nardiello.
The zoom link will be sent to you 48 hours before the event. In the event you do not receive by April 9, 2021, kindly send an email to Sandy at swd210@hotmail.com.
