Learn the ancient Japanese art of Shibori or indigo tie-dye. First students will learn techniques for tying, folding, and dipping your fabric. Then students will learn how to prepare a vat of indigo.
Due to social distancing this workshop will be a virtual workshop. I recommend setting it up in a place where you can get a little messy (due to the nature of indigo). If you can't go outdoors you can put paper or plastic down to protect the floor (that's what I do in my Brooklyn apt). If you can't set up and want to watch the demo, that is ok. Each student will get a pdf with instructions after the class.

All skill levels are welcome. Multiple pieces can be dyed in the vat and I would encourage you to invite friends to share supplies. I ask that each person purchases a ticket. Please contact me for questions! This workshop should be very fun!
