@Sree and his guests can show you how to achieve this goal in a 1-day workshop.

He thought he'd done a lot of TEDx talks because he'd done 5 [see videos of his talks]. Then he met Simon Tam, who's done 16! So he asked Simon, who is visiting from Nashville, to share his secrets with all of us. He also invited Joie Chen, former CNN and AJAm anchor to teach us all how to be better on camera. She's visiting from DC.

Schedule for the day:

9:30 AM: Check-in and coffee/tea self-service

10:15 AM: Sree Sreenivasan sets the stage

10:25 AM: Simon Tam takes the stage

11:15 AM Sree, Simon and Joie Chen discuss the future of public speaking.

Noon: Audience Questions

12:15 PM - LUNCH (gourmet Italian sandwiches - veg and non-veg - from @taralluccinyc are included in the price of the ticket)

1 PM: Joie Chen talks about two key stories she has covered, how she preps herself for her work, and the various ways she does on-camera work in today’s digital world.

2 PM: Audience hands-on workshop. Each attendee will conduct a five-minute interview with a person sitting next to him or her and record it on a mobile device.

2:45 PM: Sree wraps it up.
