Join us for the Spring NYPS concert, on Saturday, April 28th at 8 pm! A delightful program including works from Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Bizet-Waxman, Ravel to Rachmaninoff and more, performed by our terrific NYPS pianists. The New York Piano Society, a non-profit that seeks to develop non-professional pianists who have careers outside of music, presents selected musicians who spend their working hours as doctors, architects, engineers, mathematicians, police officers, and more.
NYPS Young Guest Artist: Tianyu Liu, violin
18-year-old Tianyu Liu, a violin major studying with Professor Lee-Chin Siow at the College of Charleston, South Carolina, overcame stiff competition from thousands of competitors across the country to win the top 8th prize in the prestigious Central China Television (CCTV) National Violin Competition 2014.
