Harriet Levin Millan’s debut novel, How Fast Can You Run, based on the life of Michael Majok Kuch, is a 2017 Charter for Compassion Global Read. She is also the author of the poetry books The Christmas Show, winner of the Barnard New Women Poets Prize and the Alice Fay di Castagnola Award from the Poetry Society of America; Girl in Cap and Gown; and the forthcoming Her Oceanography. She holds an MFA from the University of Iowa and directs the Certificate Program in Writing and Publishing at Drexel University.

Jill Bialosky is the author of a new book of poems, The Players (Norton), and three previous poetry collections: The End of Desire, Subterranean, and Intruder. Her poems have appeared in journals such as The Paris Review, The Kenyon Review, The New Yorker, and The Atlantic Monthly. She is also the author of several novels and the recent memoir History of a Suicide: My Sister’s Unfinished Life. An editor at W. W. Norton, she lives in New York City.

Monday Poets is presented in Room 108 at Parkway Central on the first Monday of every month.  It is moderated by Lamont Dixon.
