Now you are ready to take your new hand-lettering skills to the next level by learning techniques to "connect" letters in a fluid, well-spaced / kerned and aesthetically-balanced way & to "write straight!"
We will go right into warm ups & exercises to connect common letter combinations & everyday/holiday words & phrases. I will do demos & we will explore techniques to create different flourishing effects and experiment with unique formats & tools for making amazing envelope art, seating cards, tags, poems/quotes & have your lettering art look amazing!
Next we will learn the tools & techniques of writing on "everything but paper"...chalkboard lettering, writing on mirrors/glass, sand dollars, oyster shells, tiles, so much more...
...you'll create & bring home a handful of quotes / favorite words/phrases & the oil paint / chalk-bistro markers we use in addition to a new dip pen holder / nib & pots of a metallic ink & white ink!
Bring in samples or draft ideas of your current / upcoming projects for specific recommendations on colors/style/format to complement your choices.
