Thirteen testimonies that tell in the flesh what they lived through and how they survived. The coronavirus pandemic has had a disproportionate impact on Latinx communities. Latinos died from COVID-19 at twice the rate of white New Yorkers.

Fenomenal, Rompeforma 1989-1996, is a documentary about Rompeforma: Maratón de Baile, Performance & Visuales, the experimental Latinx dance and performance festival took place in Puerto Rico from 1989-1996. Co-directed and produced by Merián Soto and Viveca Vázquez, with editing by Laura Sofía Pérez and music by Eduardo Alegría, Fenomenal, Rompeforma 1989-1996 features dozens of performances and commentary by many current leaders of the field, and some who have sadly passed.
