AG Design Class-Disco Design Party - Ready for Warhol

This class will be held at our WEST CHICAGO STUDIO AG

Let's celebrate the opening of the The Andy Warhol Exhibit at the Cleve Carney Museum of Art! It opens June 3rd & we are ready! Andy Warhol is known for artistic expression in painting, photography, film, & fashion. While "fresh floral pop art" may be a stretch, we are pretty creative around here. Feel like dressing the part? Help us turn Studio AG into Studio 54 for the evening! We will crank up the disco music and enjoy drinks & appetizers under the lights of our very own AG Disco Ball!! You don't want to miss this one!! Have fun and come in your favorite disco gear if you'd like! Yes, you will still create and take home a floral arrangement - one so unique you will enjoy your own 15 minutes of fame! **This class will run longer that our typical design class and will include more substantial food & beverages.

At Andrew’s Garden, we use premium, high-end, seasonal flowers to create exceptional, garden-style designs. Each Design Class is a hands-on experience where you will create a beautiful arrangement to take home at the end of the class. We will explain the ever-changing, unique flowers you will find at Andrew’s Garden and what makes our flower selection so special. Most importantly, you will learn why we think flowers should be part of your everyday life in one way or another!

In each Design Class, you will learn how to choose, prepare, arrange, & care for fresh flowers for the best results. We will show you how to combine different varieties of flowers, greenery, textural elements, and other natural materials to accomplish that recognizable style you have come to expect from Andrew’s Garden. Along the way, we will discuss basic design concepts including size, proportion, color-balance, vase choice, and so on. You will have so much fun that you won’t even realize how much you are learning about flowers!

This Design Class is suitable for everyone from beginners to more experienced flower lovers.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Class Size – Most classes held at our Shop in Wheaton are limited to 12 people or less, depending on location and nature of the class. Classes held at our Studio AG in West Chicago will generally accommodate around 25 people.  

Arrival Time – Unless otherwise provided, Design Classes begin at 7pm and generally last 1 to 2 hours. We recommend arriving about 15 minutes early.

Social Time – We encourage socializing & shopping before and after class. A light snack will be served, and you are welcome to Bring Your Own Beverage (BYOB).

Design Class Discount - While shopping during the Design Class, you will enjoy a 10% discount on your in-store purchase. Discount Excludes: Gift Cards, Weddings & Events, and Floral Subscriptions. Discount cannot be applied to prior purchases and cannot be combined with any other offer. For classes held at Studio AG, you will receive a coupon for 10% off your next purchase at the shop.

Member Rewards – If you are a member of our Rewards program, please let us know so we can award your points for your class fees.

Attire – Please wear closed-toed shoes to prevent injury from broken glass, dropped clippers, or other floral accidents. Dress comfortably and perhaps in layers. We keep our Shop and Studio AG on the cooler side to protect our flowers, so you may want a sweater any time of year. Lots of flowers like to share pollen too, so it is not the best environment for your favorite dry-clean-only items.  

Equipment & Supplies – There is no need to bring anything with you as all equipment and supplies are provided.

Photography – We encourage you to take photos during your Design Class and share them with your friends! Your referral is the best compliment! Please tag Andrew’s Garden if you post on social media. We often take photos & videos during our Design Classes to use for marketing purposes (see Terms & Conditions below). If you do not want to be in any photos or videos, please let us know before the Design Class.

Cancellation & Rescheduling – Since we purchase flowers and supplies for each class, we cannot offer a credit for no-shows or last-minute cancellations. Please see our Terms and Conditions below for more details on cancellation & rescheduling options.

Health & Safety/COVID Policy – Design Class participants are expected to follow our health & safety guidelines. Any participant who fails to do so will be unable to participate in the Design Class and will not receive any refund of class fees. Andrew’s Garden follows all applicable federal, state, and local recommendations and mandates with respect to public health including the COVID-19 Pandemic. If you do not feel well, have been exposed to someone with COVID, or have tested positive for COVID, please do not attend the Design Class. Please call us at 630-456-4689 to discuss options to transfer to a different Design Class.
