2nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day Unity Brunch Fundraiser

On Saturday, January 25, 2025, the Alliance for Civic Engagement (ACE) organization will be hosting its 2nd annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Unity Brunch in celebration of what would have been Dr. King's 96th birthday.

The “Dr. MLK Day Unity Brunch” is a wonderful opportunity to come together and honor the values of equality, justice, and peace that Dr. King stood for. This in-person event will feature inspiring speeches, amazing performances, award presentations, recognition of community members, premier networking, and a delicious brunch. Participants include CNN Correspondent and prolific voice of the culture Bakari Sellers (keynote speaker), respected media personalities Chicago Fox 32 News Anchor Darlene Hill & Chicago WVON Radio Host Atiba Buchanan (Emcees), and a spectacular performance from the acclaimed dance group Praize Productions.

Similar to 2024, ACE will also host an “After Brunch Social Event” immediately following the MLK Day Unity Brunch. Come mix and mingle from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Headlining the After Brunch Social will be a live performance from Legendary Hip Hop Artist Chubb Rock, along with comedy by Ralphie Roberts, and the sounds provided by DJ Ray Jones. The After Brunch Social Event is the After Party! In addition to a live concert, live DJ, and a comedy show, there will be appetizers provided, a cash bar, and premier networking!

Your generous support will help cover essential costs, such as venue rental, hiring emcees, keynote speakers, live entertainment, and event marketing. Additionally, event proceeds will enable ACE to fund scholarships opportunities for students and to expand its mission of fostering community engagement and civic involvement through public forums, strategic planning sessions, voter registration, and educational programs.

Ticket Prices

Ø  Individual Early Bird Brunch Ticket - $100 (Before January 1, 2025) 

Ø  Individual Regular Brunch Ticket - $125 (After January 1, 2025) 

Ø  After Brunch Social Event Ticket - $40 

Note: Ticketed Brunch attendees may attend the After Brunch Social Event at no additional cost.
