Wind and Fire
by: H. K.

How can this flame
    dance without its fire
The chime of my anklets
    has fallen silent

The gold red of my new rising dawn
    Sunset has stolen

Where once light veiled me
    Shadows murmur in restlessness

The beat of those drums
that lead the caravan of my heart
    Is distant now

Now only the night sky
    Whispers your name

Now only the wind replies
